Happy Anniversary Mind Stories!

Happy Anniversary Mind Stories!

Exactly two years ago, the cursor of my mouse hovered over the publish-button for my first article on Mind Stories. I uploaded the first piece of content, uncertain about how the story would unfold, but certain about its necessity. Yes, Mind Stories really was born out of necessity. A too long suppressed desire to create and share. And as such, this portal to the world on all that moves me, came to be.

It’s been such a beautiful journey, and I feel grateful for what that which this platform has taught me and the ways it keeps testing me. It has helped me much in re-aligning with myself, staying authentic, staying honest. And it keeps serving to fulfill me with activities I take such joy in. It has not only been about the writing though. I’ve loved the thought-process of finding suitable complementing graphical content, as well as creating it. When a story originates in my mind, I see screenshots, fragments, clips of a movie. And so begins the chase to catch these in a visual representation that brings it to life.

The past weeks, I’ve been guest-blogging for a dutch website; the Hike. I’ve shared with its readers several articles on my adventures along the PCT. Collaboration with the hosts of the website has been great fun and has certainly reinforced my passion for content creation. It has inspired me to work on Mind Stories in new ways and as a result, I decided to set up an instagram-account. I’ve been figuring out new ways to present my work, and it has taken up a nice chunk of my spare time. As an instant reward though, I found it very uplifting to use it as a means to reconnect with my thru-hiker buddies from the class of ’18. Sharing the photo’s the (very much online-active) hiker community, has been great! As well as using it as a different medium for creative outlet. Check out the instagram @:

I’d like to thank you all for your time spend reading, commenting, and supporting me in this adventure.
It means the world to me.
